At Ethan's preschool there are visits from different members of the community such as doctors, firemen etc. Last year there was a visit from two policemen. As part of their visit they showed the children a paddy wagon where "the bad guys go" (Ethan's words).
Recently Ethan and I were walking home from the park. Ethan jumped up and grabbed onto a tree branch. The tree branch broke away from the tree. At the same moment a police siren started a couple of blocks away on the main road. Ethan looked around startled and said "oh no, they're coming to get me, I broke the tree".
