We just experienced an interesting night. Everything was peaceful and quiet up until midnight, when Erica started crying. I went into her room and settled her and then returned to bed.
A little while later David got up because he felt sick. Then Erica woke up again and this time David settled her back to sleep. Everybody went back to sleep and we remained that way for about an hour until Ethan came into our room. He had had a dream "that he was sick and there was a billy goat jumping on his bed and it wasn't helping". He hopped into bed with us for a little while and then returned to his own bed.
He returned to our room a short while later to tell us that he was actually really sick and he had thrown up. I got up and cleaned Ethan and his bed etc etc. After I closed the door to Ethan's bedroom, Erica started crying. This time she wouldn't settle easily and I ended up having to rock her until she was completely asleep (she has been sick, she doesn't normally do this). Once I got Erica back to sleep, I returned to bed. About half an hour later David's alarm went off and he got up to go to University to do an assessment (and try to find an open pharmacy to help his stomach). Shortly after that Erica woke up ready to start the day.
Ethan and Erica are currently in the lounge room watching tv. I feel very grateful to the creators of "In the Night Garden".
