Panda Bread Attempt 1

and most likely the only one. This afternoon I cleared some time to try out a Panda Bread recipe (thank you Kerin for sending me an English version). The recipe is very fiddly and time consuming, but by the time I had the dough ready for the oven I was feeling pretty good about my efforts.

The before shot..

Not too bad. Some definite potential for a loaf of totemo kawaii (thank you high school Japanese) panda bread.

The post-oven shot..

Less 'cute panda', more 'evil raccoon'.

The bread tastes ok. It is mildly sweet. Green food colouring seems to have worked fine as a substitute for the green tea powder.
