Ethan started school on Tuesday. He had been very excited to start ever since we bought his uniform and attended his Best Start Assessment the previous week. In fact, he wore his school shoes and school bag to the assessment.
None of Ethan's preschool friends are in his class. They all seem to have been divided across the classes. However, Ethan has made some new friends and still plays with his preschool friends at lunch time.
I have noticed a few differences between day 1 and day 2.........
Day 1: "Can you help me tuck my shirt in Mum?"
Day 2: "I'm not tucking my shirt in anymore Mum" (the school doesn't require their shirts to be tucked in)
Day 1: "Mum, I have homework!"
Day 2: "Mum, can I do my homework later?" (I should mention that he did sit down and do his homework when I asked him to)
Day 1: "I'm going to learn about reading and numbers"
Day 2: "I can't wait to do sports again!!"
He is also very excited about tomorrow when he gets to visit the library.
Ethan's teacher seems lovely.
