Ethan played his last competitive round of soccer for the season on Saturday. His team didn't win the finals, but they still seemed to enjoy themselves thoroughly. There were some great defensive moves involving various body parts. Ethan came off the field a little upset at one point after stopping a goal at close range using his thigh. He will play one more set of matches next weekend, but these are purely for fun against teams from the same club.
Above is a picture of Ethan holding up his trophy (every member of the team received one for their participation). He was very excited about receiving a trophy and is bringing it to school tomorrow to show his classmates.
Ethan is very keen to play soccer again next year. He told me that he plans to continue training in the backyard during the off-season.
