We Love Sydney

A couple of years ago Ethan and I found a bush path not far from our house. We walked part of the way along the path and decided to turn back as it became a little 'dark and menacing'. On Sunday David suggested we take a family stroll, so we headed back to this path and decided to see where it would lead (if anywhere).

We traversed bush and rocks. Check out these great rocks that inspired Ethan to sing the Indiana Jones theme song..

The kids thought we had seen the highlight of our walk when we found this..

A dog swimming in a well!

After about ten minutes of further walking we came down a hill and were surprised to find a beautiful little area with some boat sheds and jetties..

We followed the shoreline further..

And were surprised again to find a rotunda sitting by the water seemingly for no particular reason other than it being a picturesque spot (there were no parks around, no obvious paths to reach the rotunda - we later worked out that it is part of a school). Check out Sydney Tower in the distance.

Another rotunda on a hill..

More shots..

Ethan showing off the big stick he found..

So where is this track Megan? I thought I had seen them all.
Oh and I presume Ethan took the photo of you and David. Good job, Ethan!

The track is near the flying fox park. We did lament that we hadn't done this walk while you were visiting us. Next time!

Yes, the photo was taken by Ethan. It's handy to have somebody else in the family now who can take photos. David and I get to occasionally appear in a picture together :)
