Fitzroy Gardens

We arrived back home a couple of days ago from a week and a half spent in Melbourne. Over the coming days I will upload photos from our trip.

During this visit to Victoria (we visit semi-regularly for various reasons) we stayed in apartments in East Melbourne (which I can recommend if you have children and are looking for a bit more space than a regular hotel room). We were lucky to have the gorgeous Fitzroy Gardens right across the street.

Ethan and I in the gardens. St Patricks Cathedral is in the background.

Ethan and Erica in front of the mini tudor village.

The kids playing in what we thought was rubbish. However, it turned out to be......

white leaves.

We visited the gardens at night, along with some friends, to try to feed the possums. It was surprisingly easy to find possums - there were two sitting underneath a light at the entrance to the gardens! Above is Erica with a friend getting very close to one of the possums.

Erica, Cale and Ethan trying to entice a possum with some marsupial delicacies. The possums responded best to tomatoes and white bread.

Erica feeding a possum. The possum is sitting in a tree. Erica is on David's shoulders.

That is Ethan's hand feeding the same possum in a tree.
