After two years of pouring rain during Ethan's birthday week and having to relocate parties, we decided this year to play it safe and organise an indoor party from the outset. We booked a slot car racing party at a local business.
The kids really loved doing the racing (and some of the Dads seemed to be highly interested too at drop-off and pick-up time).........
Ironically the day of Ethan's party ended up being 22 degrees celsius and sunny, so an outdoor party would have worked! However, I was relieved to wake up that morning and only have to worry about the party food, knowing the entertainment had been outsourced.

Ethan and Erica after all of the presents had been opened. Lots of Lego and Meccano sets. He was thrilled (and so was I because none of those presents are very space-consuming or noisy)! A very lucky boy.......
