Games

Erica loves to make up games and most of the time I like her creations, such as........

'What rolls?'. In this game Erica lines up toys and tries rolling each one down a sloped surface. I also like 'super girl saves the cat' (Erica saves her toy cat from a variety of perilous situations) and 'Mummy feeds/bathes/changes/takes to the park/puts to bed the quintuplets' (Erica picks her five favourite dolls and plays Mum).

However, this week Erica has invented two new games that I haven't appreciated as much.......

This is' yoghurt painting on the window'. Erica was incredibly proud of her efforts. I wasn't pleased, but at least her medium of choice was washable.



The other 'game' that I was really unimpressed with was 'making flowers grow in the lounge room'. Erica decided she could do this by sprinkling raspberry cordial over the cream carpet. She did this right as I was putting my shoes on to go and get Ethan from school. I had a mini-melt down when I saw the carpet and then rushed out the door with Erica to pick Ethan up. When we came back into the house Erica ran into the lounge room expecting to see a meadow of flowers. She was a bit disappointed. She was even more disappointed when I made her scrub the carpet with me until all of the cordial was gone. Thankfully there is no trace left.
