David has been away on a trip for a longer period than is usual. Whenever he travels he tries to Skype or phone the kids daily, but sometimes time differences and work commitments can make that challenging. While David was away recently we decided to take a picture each day and write an email, so Daddy could still see and read about the most important things that had happened to Ethan and Erica during that day.
I found it interesting to see which parts of the children's days they most wanted to report to David. It wasn't always what I expected. Here are some of the pictures we sent..........

This is Erica demonstrating a new invention that she calls 'the four clap'. You clap your hands together, then do peace signs, then repeat. On that same day Erica had had a sore throat and didn't go to Nursery, so she stayed with me in Primary. Erica started feeling better towards the end of Primary, so she sat with the Sunbeam class for closing exercises which she was hugely excited about at the time. However, the four clap was absolutely the most important thing of that day to report to David.

Erica riding her bike home from school and Ethan leaping down the street with the mail. Erica can really work up some good speed on her bike now. From memory I think Ethan was leaping with the mail because there was a letter for him.

Ethan making dinosaur egg biscuits that he brought to school the next day for Paleontologist Day. I'm fairly sure real dinosaur eggs probably weren't green with multi-coloured spots, but we got good feedback on our efforts from Ethan's class.
