It doesn't sound like a terribly exciting attraction. However David had visited the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Centre before, and indicated that it would be worth an hour of our time.
The highlight is a massive scale model of Shanghai. This is by far the biggest model I have ever seen. It represents Shanghai as it is planned to look in 2020, so some of the buildings in the model haven't been built in the real world yet. The model also has a night-time setting where the lights in the buildings turn on.
