Padres v Dodgers, San Diego

We went to a San Diego Padres vs LA Dodgers baseball game. It was a lot of fun! I couldn't decide which team to support, but landed on the Padres because it was much easier to buy one of their caps in San Diego. I picked the right team because they won 3-0.

We arrived early so we could take a look around the stadium.

The baseball game was far more of an 'event' than we usually experience at Australian sporting matches. There was a recreational batting cage, fast pitch games etc.

I thought the big sandpit at Petco Park was a fantastic idea. "The Beach" sits directly behind outfield. Families can buy cheap tickets in this section and let their children dig aound in the sand with buckets and spades while watching the game. At times we looked over at that section and saw all of the children dancing and playing games.

I found a picture online..

Baseball snacks. There was a large range of foods, with a lot of fresh options which I liked.

The view from our seats.

As we entered Petco Park we were given 'rally towels'. Whenever something exciting happened everybody would wave their towels in the air. Video below......
