St George Temple, Utah

David and I both thought that the St George temple was a beautiful building. The grounds were also gorgeous. They stood out to me as being very green, and quite a direct contrast to the rocky desert surrounds of St George.

While in the visitors centre we learnt that the St George temple was the first temple completed in Utah and is the oldest temple still in use by the Church. We also saw the cannon that was used to crush rock for the foundations of the temple, but had originally been made in France and used by Napoleon.
