We're Ready for Santa

We decorated our Christmas tree in late November. Erica has asked me everyday since if we could take all of the decorations down and put them back up again. Everyday I have declined.

The nativities are unpacked and on display.

We have been using our advent calendar since December 1. I made 25 of those little birds a few years ago. This year each bird contains a quote from a Prophet, a scripture, a task and a sticker or lolly. The birds hang from a 'tree' (some sticks we have arranged in a vase).

The Christmas books are out and being read. We have already lost (and found) one. We ordered two new books this year - Christmas Around the World and Geronimo Stilton The Christmas Toy Factory.

Erica has listened to It's a Hi-5 Christmas about 15 times, Ethan brings home a few new Christmas cards from school each day and we made a gingerbread house last night.

It is definitely starting to look a lot like Christmas in the Jeffrey home.
