The Getty Center is located in Brentwood, Los Angeles. It was founded by J Paul Getty who amassed a large fortune from oil (one of the first billionaires in the world) and collected a significant amount of art. The Getty Center is now one of the most visited museums in America.
We arrived 45 minutes before closing time, so we definitely didn't have enough time to appreciate all of the art, architecture, gardens and views. However, we worked with what we had and made a beeline for the more famous works of art, such as......
Irises by Van Gough
Haystacks by Monet
Sculptures by Degas. Degas is one of my favourite artists.
There are also works by Gauguin, Pontormo, Renoir, Pissaro, Sisley, Cezanne, Delacroix, Rembrandt, da Vinci, Raphael, Michaelangelo and on and on and on..........an amazing collection of art. I would have loved to have spent a full day there. David was pleased that we were only able to fit in a short visit.

The view from the Getty Center was fantastic. The above picture was taken facing South. You can see the Los Angeles Temple. Check out the traffic traveling North on the I-405 freeway. Luckily for us we were heading South.
We also took the video below to give a better appreciation of the awesome panorama.........
