Berry Island Reserve

A visit to Berry Island Reserve has been on our to-do list for a long time. While Mum was staying with us recently, we thought it was time to fit in that little excursion. Mum likes to walk and a visit to Berry Island involves a walk around the island - about a 20 minute circuit.

Looking out towards the city. Berry Island sits in Sydney Harbour. It isn't technically an island anymore because it has been joined to the mainland by a grassy causeway. When it was still an island it was a fishing and hunting site for aboriginals (you can still see evidence of this). It would have been a lovely peaceful spot, and still is really.
