Last month Ethan came to me very upset. I asked what was wrong and he explained that Erica had drawn on his desk. I called Erica over and asked if she had drawn on Ethan's desk. She protested greatly of her innocence, while Ethan kept restating that he 'knew' she had done it. I asked him how he knew for sure that the drawing belonged to Erica (he had drawn on his own desk when he was younger). Ethan took me to his desk and said "look!"........
I had one of those parenting moments where you need to remain stern despite wanting to laugh. It's pretty hard to deny that you have drawn a picture on furniture when you signed your name.
