Newport

While David was on paternity leave he had a Church-related appointment in Newport.  I decided that would be a perfect place to take Clara for a walk, so we hitched a ride with David to the beach.

After walking along the beach, Clara and I went for a bit of an exploration through the Newport shops.  I came across a tiny out-of-the-way op shop.  Mum (Elise) you would be so proud - I emerged with two bargains - a boogie board for Erica and a child safety gate.  When I met back up with David we had to return with the car because there is no way I could push a pram and carry those two items.  

When David had finished his appointment, we went to The Newport Arms (pictured above - not my picture) for a lunch date.  We haven't had a date for a while, so it was very nice to sit and talk (even if there was a nappy change in the middle).
