The kids did their Primary Sacrament Meeting Presentation today. They both did an excellent job with their spoken parts and singing the songs.
We watched General Conference last week and this was the first time that Erica took some of her own notes....
These are Erica's notes from Bonnie L. Oscarson's talk. So cute!
Erica also rediscovered her love of bubble baths...
We received Ethan's results from the NAPLAN test this week.........
The black circles are Ethan's results. The black triangles are the National average and the clear triangles are the average results from Ethan's school. A circle sitting in the space above band 6 means the result is well above the expected level of achievement for a Year 3 student.
I'm glad Ethan's persuasive writing piece was sufficiently persuasive as the task they were given was to write about their hero. Ethan chose me as his hero! When Ethan looked at his results he asked me what he did wrong in spelling. I told him that he spelled technology incorrectly. Ethan's response was "I know how to spell technology! t e c h n o l e g y". haha
Our clever Clara has worked out how to roll over. Gone are the days where I will be able to plonk her down on a couch or bed and know she will stay there.
Quote this afternoon from Ethan: "Erica is such a Clara-hog!" During the week I heard Clara wake up from a nap and give a little bit of a cry. Then she went quiet and I thought 'excellent, some bonus nap-time'. About ten minutes later I walked past Clara's room and realised why she was quiet. Erica had also heard Clara wake up - she climbed into the cot with Clara and they were having a play.
Finally, thank you to those who rang to check we were ok amongst the bushfires in NSW this week. This is what we could see from our backyard....
and there was a lot of ash floating around in the air, but otherwise there was no direct impact on us.
