The Primary performed a Nativity play at our Ward Christmas party. Ethan played Joseph and Erica was the star.
Ethan as Joseph. I think he has been Joseph every year for the last three/four years.
Erica as the star.
Erica ended up on stage a little earlier than originally intended. She was trying her best to keep that star up in the air, but you could see that it was becoming tiring for her arms. The star started waving side to side. A teacher snuck behind the black curtains and whispered to Erica that she could lower the star if her arms were getting sore. She kept it up for the entire play. As I am typing this it is the day after and Erica tells me that her arms are still sore. I admire her commitment to the role.
Erica and Clara with Santa.
Here is an original idea for a Christmas party - donkeys! When we arrived at the chapel there were two donkeys wandering around the courtyard. The kids (not Erica - the kids in general) thought this was great. The donkeys ended up with a conga line of children following them around. It is quite surreal to be having a chat to someone in the church courtyard and then have two donkeys walk up beside you.

Well done Ethan and Erica in your school achievements too!Nan is always very proud of you both.
(Is it just me or does Ethan look a little like a ninja in his Joseph costume?)
