Clara is now eight and a half months old. She has been saying 'mama' for about 6 weeks and 'dada' for about 4 weeks. Her first tooth looks like it is about to pop up from her gum any day now. Her favourite foods are mango, grapes, oranges and bananas. She also really likes a Rafferty's Garden baby food that consists of tuna, rice and asian greens. I think she must have inherited my taste buds - definitely not Davids.
Outside of the playpen is much better than in - at Nan's house.
Clara stands in this place and in this position very often. From this spot she watches Ethan and Erica playing outside.
My little shadow. Clara often follows me around the house by crawling between rooms and then cruising around the furniture to try to keep up with me.
She has also figured out where the grapes are kept. So, whenever somebody opens the refrigerator Clara makes a beeline for the bottom shelf to try to grab some grapes before the door is closed. I'm pretty sure I have photos of each of the children doing this exact same thing.
Clara really enjoys being read to. When we read the 'That's Not My....' series of books she knows to feel the different textures. Her favourite toys aren't toys (and they are constantly being taken away from her) - phones, headphones, remotes, cables, ipods. She also really loves going out for walks and shower-time.
