was wonderful, thank you kiddos (and David)! We went out to dinner on Saturday night at New Shanghai. I love me some xiao long bao and getting to share lots of different dishes.
Here are the kids bringing gifts. I was up before everybody else feeding Clara her breakfast.
Trying on one of my presents - some new Chucks. The foot on the left is Clara, the next foot is mine and the foot on the right belongs to Ethan. Ethan and I now have the same size feet. This is very convenient because for the time being it is very easy to buy him shoes even when he is not with me. However, I don't think that convenience will last long.
Ethan bringing me breakfast - bircher muesli.
Dessert that night - strawberry and chocolate macaron trifle. I usually wouldn't sacrifice macarons to a trifle, but these ones turned out odd - they tasted fine but didn't look fine (too flat - I'll research why that occured later). They made for a lovely trifle though.
