Ethan turned ten years old last month. He had a great Birthday that started with a Church Father-Son camp and ended at home with presents.
By Ethan - My birthday was cool and awesome at the same time. It was really fun. I had a good time. I was camping. I was up until midnight and then got up at 5am. We played a lot of sport like ultimate frisbee, touch footy and cricket. I scored a try. It was really fun. We had eggs, bacon, toast and baked beans for breakfast. For lunch we had sausage sandwiches. We stayed at The Basin. There were lots of kangaroos there. We had a campfire and we played capture the flag until midnight. We went swimming after we played touch footy.
After camping Dad and I went home. I had a shower and put pyjamas on. Then I got my presents!
In this picture I have just received 3 of the Enchanted Tunnel books.
In this picture I have just received some Garfield books.
In this one I have just opened some Skullcandy headphones.
For dinner we had taco salad and I had a bottle of Peachy all to myself.
This is my Birthday cake. It tasted really good. It was from Costco. They make really good cakes.
From Megan - Ethan determined what he wanted to have written on the cake. Multiple people at Costco asked me who Ethan is and what makes him so awesome. Haha!
This is me blowing out the candles. It took me a couple of tries. The first big blow I did I only blew out one candle, which was pretty funny. Last year I blew out all of the candles in one go.
Some of the other presents I got were a new pair of spikes (running shoes), some DC shoes, Gizmo book, Rip Curl board shorts, socks, dressing gown, money to buy what I want (so far I have bought a new FIFA world cup soccer ball), a pack of trading cards, an Egyptian Lego game and two handballs.
Also, I have read The Goblet of Fire. I finished it in two weeks and it has 636 pages. Before that I read The Hobbit. That took me about a month. It is shorter. I watched the Goblet of Fire movie. I haven't seen The Hobbit movies. So far The Goblet of Fire is the best Harry Potter book.
Sad news - three of my friends are leaving my school at the end of the year. Two are going to St Aloysius and the other is going to Sydney Grammar.
Good news - we won soccer last Saturday 5-1. I was the goalie in the second half and I didn't let any goals in. The coach said it would be really hard not to put me in goals from now on. In the first half I was in defence, but I don't like defence. My favourite positions are mid-field or striker. World Cup starts on Friday! YAY! Australia's first game is on Saturday versing Chile.
