Round the Twist Lighthouse

Ethan and Erica love an old television show called Round the Twist.  They have watched every single episode (some many times over).  I also loved this program when I was a child.

I told Ethan and Erica that I had been to the lighthouse where the Twist family live in the tv series.  It is on the Great Ocean Road.  David and I had visited here a few times when we lived in Victoria.  Ethan and Erica were super keen to visit the lighthouse (Split Point Lighthouse) themselves.  While we were on holiday in Melbourne the kids and I drove the 90 minutes to visit (David was at work that day).

The kids outside of the lighthouse.  You can do a tour inside of the lighthouse but unfortunately babies are not allowed (understandably).  Next time we'll try to do the tour.  Erica wanted to check each of the children's bedrooms to see if they still had certain magical belongings in there from the tv show (I think she would be disappointed because the bedrooms from the tv series were probably not actual bedrooms inside the lighthouse).

The beautiful landscape of Aireys Inlet.
