World Cup

Ethan has been a little World Cup crazy.  He insisted that we needed to have a Brazilian meal for the World Cup opening ceremony.  The tradition that started off as eating a meal from the host country of each Olympics seems to now be spreading to every major sporting event and I have recently been told that I need to figure out a Scottish meal for the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.  Mmmmm haggis.  I'm sure I can figure something else out.

This was our Brazilian dinner - feijoada with pangratatto and a salsa.  It was a hit!  Now I want to find an authentic Brazilian restaurant because I'm sure the real thing would taste better than my attempt.

Ethan has become very good at using his alarm.  He has gotten up very early on numerous mornings to watch games.  Lucky the World Cup has overlapped with school holidays.  However, Erica was starting to find this very frustrating.  I had to intervene one morning when Erica got up to once again find Ethan in the lounge room watching soccer.  She was very frustrated because she couldn't use her school holiday morning time to watch cartoons (and soccer is soooooo boring).

Ethan was even able to complete a school project on the World Cup!
