An Update on Ethan

Ethan's school has gone onesie crazy (and has been for a while).  This is a picture of Ethan at his school camp with some friends and a teacher.  That is the same teacher that is in the picture with Erica's drama group (one of Erica's favourite teachers).

Ethan has finished his soccer season for the year.  He played in the Development Squad which essentially means his team is at the highest level for his age group and they have professional coaching.  Usually Ethan plays mid-field or striker, but at one of the matches the coach trialed him in goals.  Ethan did well so they kept playing him there and he ended up in goals for 6/7 weeks!  Not sure how he felt about that.  I think he prefers to run around and be in the action, but it is probably good for him to gain more experience in other positions.  The finals day ended up being very wet and was cancelled (never to be played).  That was unfortunate as Ethan's team played really well together winning almost all of their matches this year.

Ethan has had his school athletics carnival - always one of Ethan's favourite days.  Ethan is the boy wearing white skins and a red t-shirt in the above pictures.  These were finals races, but I can't remember for which distances.  Ethan has already competed at Zone and Regional now.  He will be at State next month, which Ethan is very excited about.  There are a number of fast runners at Ethan's school and the relay team has been getting great results.  Ethan has set a new pb in high jump (but I can't remember what it is - I'll update later).  He also achieved a new pb in long jump yesterday at his first day back at Little Athletics - his legs are probably longer!
