More Halloween!

While there was a fantastic streets-long Halloween party going on a mere five minutes walk from our house, guess what was happening on our own street? - ZILCH!  Literally we drove the street and there was not a single home decorated.  I think everybody left and walked the couple of blocks away to join our move festive neighbours.

I usually decorate the front of our house and ready myself for trick or treaters, but now we live behind a security gate (and then another security door before you can even get to our front door!).  There wasn't much point waiting around for trick or treaters to reach us, so our entire family went out together to wander the streets.  It was nice to be able to participate a little more in my own children's excitement this year.

We still maintained our tradition of having a Halloween dinner, and I still put up a few decorations around the house..

Jack-o'-lantern pizzas.

Our witch doll (we need to give her a name) and Erica's black cat.  You can see in the background too that we put some cobwebs on the hedges.

Getting ready to go trick or treating.  A very happy rainbow fairy.  I can't remember what she was upset about - she probably wanted to play with the camera.

The rainbow fairy, Messi and Cinderella.

A much happier rainbow fairy now that she has a balloon.

Erica with her DIY Halloween parfait.

Our Halloween lantern.

We did end up decorating a door!  This is at the Chapel for the Ward Halloween party.  All of the doors around the courtyard were decorated and the children did some trick or treating.
