Outback Shack Gingerbread House

This year we picked the outback shack gingerbread house kit from Coles.  Above is the kids hard at work decorating their walls.  Erica said to me "Mum, do we get to eat the walls that we decorate?".  To which I replied "yes, some of them".  Erica then started loading her walls up with far more lollies than she had previously planned.

The front of the outback shack.  If you click on the link above you will see that Ethan and Erica's version is a *little* different to the guide on the front of the box.  Ethan decorated this front part, except for the left half of the awning which is a contribution from Erica.

Erica decorated this back wall and roof.  I don't think I've ever seen a gingerbread house quite like it.  It's very artistic.

Ethan and Erica very pleased with their creation.  It is an amazing feat of engineering that the awning hasn't given way under the weight of those lollies (there isn't much holding it in place).  Happily the whole structure is still standing and hasn't collapsed yet under the weight of the sugar attached to it.
