Some of the things we have been up to over the last month...
We have had a lot of big storms come through Sydney over the last couple of weeks. It seems like almost every night we have watched a storm from the dining room table as we ate dinner. Poor Ethan is constantly being pulled inside from the front yard (usually kicking a ball of some description) as soon as I can see lightning in the distance. Here's hoping for a slightly dryer Christmas (although history would indicate that that isn't likely to happen).
The kids playing with the Little People nativity set. I have lost count of the number of times I have found a Wise Man, Angel or stable animal sitting underneath our lounge.
We have been enjoying using our Christmas pyramid at Sunday dinners. We love watching that thing spin around. It is also kind of cool to have candles on the table, particularly when it is dark and stormy outside.
Clara is still fascinated with birds. She calls out "quack quack" every time she sees one, regardless of whether it is a duck or not. Most often she is actually pointing at the seagulls that sit on the jetty near the front of our place.
The police apprehending a criminal in our front yard - the maritime police. Not sure what crime was committed by that other boat.
I have been working on my macaron baking skills. Still a lot of room for improvement, but the kids approve.
Clara enjoying a Christmas book. She loves those 'That's Not My..' books.
