Ethan, Erica and I decorated the Christmas tree. This years version is an attempt at child-proof festivity. It is a bit more subdued than in previous years. So far Clara has been very good with the tree. Only once have I found her kicking around a bauble like a ball (it was plastic, no harm done). Clara finds our tree and all other Christmas trees pretty fascinating. Our walks through shopping centres at the moment are met with lots of "oooohs" and finger pointing from Clara.
On a different day when David was available we finished off the tree by putting the star on the top. We always read a special book we own called 'Follow the Star' before one of the children place the star. This book explains the significance of the Christmas star.
It was Ethan's turn this year to place the star on the top of the tree. It was also the first year that Ethan could reach the top on his own!
