We had a great New Year's Eve. David organised for all of the missionaries serving in our ward to come over (all 10 of them - they are an awesome bunch!). They had a meeting with David, some dessert with us and then we watched the 9pm fireworks from the jetty at the front of our building. After that the missionaries left fairly promptly to ensure they could get back to their apartments before curfew.

After that I thought that Ethan and Erica would go to bed, but they had other plans. Ethan ran around in the front yard playing soccer with some boys who are related to one of the other residents in the building. Erica had fun playing with glow sticks and sparklers, and then decided to also join the soccer. They both ended up staying awake for the midnight fireworks. Clara was asleep in bed before the missionaries even arrived and didn't wake up at all throughout the two sets of fireworks.
