Erica recently had her school athletics carnival. Erica's approach to athletics is a little different to that of Ethan. When we go to Little Athletics on Saturdays Ethan knows all of his personal best times/heights/distances and is always aiming to beat them. Erica isn't overly concerned with breaking records and the athletics part is mostly just incidental to the important business of hanging out with her friends (and getting an ice-block). Having said that Erica is doing really well and has learnt a lot.
Last year she received an award for 'Most Improved Track' for her age group (i.e. she had made the greatest reduction in her times over the course of the season). Ethan also received an award - 'Runner-up Track' (i.e. he was the second fastest runner across all distances for his age group).
This is Erica running at her school athletics carnival - at least those are her white shoes. My angle wasn't the best! Erica finished third and was very pleased with the outcome.

Clara displaying the stickers she received for running in the baby race. There is one sticker on each hand. Clara (and I) finished last - behind a baby in a pram. She didn't really grasp the concept of racing and just had a nice stroll up the track. Her face is red because she accidentally put some sunscreen into her eye.
