My Weekend by Erica

Erica has become very excited about writing long letters lately.  Most of her letters are written to her teacher.  She wrote this one a few weeks ago and I asked if I could share it here too..

I would love to talk about my weekend.  I had such a great time.  It was a delight.  Wait until you read this letter.

First I got out of bed and got ready for Little Athletics.  I got to Little Athletics.  In my group I have got some people from school.  One of them is Immy and the other is Claudia.  First I did 700m.  That is two laps around the oval.

Then I did all of my other events.

After that I caught a ferry to Sydney Tower Eye.  When we got to the top we did our Santa photo.  Then we looked at the view and guess what we could see our house!  Yes, that's right our house.  Amazing!

Then we went out for dinner.  We had Chinese (food).  I hate Chinese (food), but I only like the fried rice.  So all I had was lemonade and fried rice.  I was still incredibly hungry, so lucky for me we saw a fairy floss machine.  So we got some fairy floss.  Then caught the ferry back home.

So then we got home and got ready for bed.  Then we went to sleep.  Then it was Sunday.

I woke up and got ready for Church.  We got to Church and today at Church it was the Primary Presentation.  We sang lots of songs and people gave talks.  My brother got to speak.  His topic was to 'Invite Others Unto Christ'.  Some of the songs we sang were 'Come Follow Me', 'I Know that my Saviour Loves Me', 'He Sent His Son' and 'Tell me the Stories of Jesus'.  I sang with the girls choir.  We sang 'When Jesus Christ Was Baptised'.

When we got home we put up the Christmas tree.  We put all sorts of stuff on the Christmas tree like baubles, snow flakes, birds, lights and bells.  This year it was Clara's turn to put up the star, so she did put the star on the Christmas tree.

As you know I had a very good and excellent weekend.  I hope you enjoyed my letter.

From Erica

P.S.  I also did my maths homework.

Here are some pictures from the Sydney Tower Eye...

Evidently Clara doesn't have a fear of heights.  She kept happily pressing her face right against the glass so she could look straight down at the cars.  We were able to spot part of our apartment building (mostly it is obscured) and we could see Ethan's school, including the window of his classroom!

Our decorated Christmas tree pre-star...

It was Clara's turn this year to place the star :)...
