Port Macquarie

We stayed at Port Macquarie for a night to break up the drive from Sydney to the Gold Coast.  We stayed here purely for convenience, but it is also a really pretty place.  Actually, pretty much every place we could have stayed along the coast is equally as lovely - we are so lucky to live in an awesome country with so many fantastic beaches.

I remember friends from the UK (who were living in Australia at the time) remarking that if just one of Australia's beaches were transported to England, the whole country would be there and yet if you travel around Australia there is beautiful beach after beautiful beach with hardly anybody (if anybody) on it.  We are spoiled for choice in that regards for sure!

Anyway, here are some pics from our morning walk in Port Macquarie..

Shadows of Erica and myself.  Erica's hat makes her look like she was wearing a Pickelhaube (yes I did google to check the correct name for that).  It is actually a unicorn hat.

A photo bomb by Ethan.  He had been throwing up the previous day, so it was a pretty good effort.

Clara made these trails all over the beach.
