As mentioned previously we went to the Gold Coast during the last school holidays. Before we left we had grand plans of taking the kids to theme parks and lots of activities around the Gold Coast. However, when we arrived a combination of poor weather forecasts and the beautiful beach sitting just a short walk outside of our rented apartment meant that we ended up doing a lot of this....
That is Ethan surfing in the first two pictures, Clara is running along the beach in the third picture and the fourth shot contains Clara, Erica, Ethan and David (on the surfboard). When it wasn't raining we spent most morning and afternoons at Palm Beach (and had a great time!).
This is the view from the apartment. There is something very awesome about being right on the beach with no roads to cross! We loved walking straight out barefoot onto the beach. If you are looking for a self-contained apartment on the Gold Coast check out Surfers Horizons at Palm Beach.

Op-shopping trip with Nan. Ethan and Erica both turned up some great finds for themselves, but sadly decided not to purchase those glasses.
Some time was spent at an indoor-trampoline place while it was raining. Above is Clara pretending to be an elephant.
Of course there was also plenty of play-time with cousins..
The girls were checking out Arden's fairy garden. Clara was very impressed. It is literally an entire garden (not just a couple of pots like at our house).
Erica would also like me to add that she, Ethan and David went jet-skiing with Lynis and Rob. Erica had an excellent time and wants to record that after she was baptised she went jet-skiing!
