Birthdays are a very exciting time in the life of a three year old. Clara asked us nearly every day for (what seemed like) a long time leading up to her birthday. She had big plans and ideas. She requested nearly every toy she could think of as a present. If I made every type of cake she requested I would still be baking right now.
We didn't deliver on all of the wishes, but she had a fantastic Birthday anyway.

Clara was extremely lucky because her Birthday happened to fall on the first day of our cruise (more about that later). She received a few special Birthday treats on the ship. When we arrived at our cabin there were balloons and a sign outside of the door.
At dinner Clara was given a special Birthday cake. The waiter brought it out singing Happy Birthday. The tables around us all joined in. Clara was very pleased.
