Noumea was our first port on the cruise. We had a nice day there and were able to do quite a bit of looking around.
This is a time lapse movie David shot as we sailed into the port.

We went on a 'Tchou Tchou' train tour around Noumea. The vehicle looked like a train, but drove on the roads. This worked really well for our whole family and kept Clara entertained nicely. The train took us to a number of look-outs and drove us around the city and some beach areas.
Looking out over Noumea city area from FOL hill.
Us at FOL hill. We have lots of pictures of our family together because Mum was a very obliging photographer. Thanks Mum!
Ethan, Clara and David at Ouen Toro.
A canon that I think our guide said was set-up by the Australians, but has never been needed because nobody has tried to invade.
Us and the canon.
Awesome views across the islands.
And some pretty cool views over the roof-tops too.
A shot of a harbour while we were on the train. Not sure what is going on with the bonnet of that car.
We saw some really lovely properties, we also saw quite a lot that looked like this.
I'll post some more of our experiences in Noumea soon.
