We had a fun, but busy, little Christmas together at home. Our shipment arrived the week before Christmas so I was quite distracted and busy trying to put everything in place. It was also a little bit of a challenge to figure out what to cook. Because Christmas was on a Sunday we couldn't do what everybody else seems to do and go to a buffet at a hotel.
Nice try Erica.
David back home from India just in time for Christmas. He brought another set of desserts with him for us to try. David missed all the fun of our shipment arriving.
Getting ready to place the star on the tree.
After a bit of a delay Jingle joined us in Shanghai. He was stuck in customs.
We made a gingerbread house. The kids called this one the 'Ghostbusters Gingerbread House'. The snowmen look like the marshmallow man (and are made of marshmallow). Also my attempt at making green icing, turned out to look more like slime.
More of Jingle.
Leaving food for Santa. He scored mandarins, ginger cookies and chestnuts. You can buy roasted chestnuts here on the street. You can also buy roasted sweet potato, which is awesome.
Christmas morning.
Opening presents.
Breakfast.
Clara getting stuck into the snacks.
Dinner. We ended up having lasagne. It's the best I could do.
Typical of this Christmas. The decorations are out, but I still have boxes to unpack and sort through.
