This is in the first week after we had arrived in Shanghai. Clara can actually speak some Mandarin now. I need to take another movie. She is particularly good at naming fruit. Clara has her own little Mandarin textbook and has mini-classes with our tutor. Clara's textbook is Monkey King-themed (ie Monkey Magic) and has cartoon pictures of Monkey, Pigsy, the Princess etc. Who would have thought years ago when I was a kid watching subtitled Monkey Magic episodes, that one day I would be living in China and my three year old would be using books with the same characters.
