Our exit from Sydney was sad and exciting all at once. Mostly it was just extremely busy and stressful trying to ensure everything fell into place at the right times. The entire process from finding out we were moving to China to actually leaving, occurred within two months. I think an extra month would have made things a little less stressful. I was up late nearly every night filling in documents, corresponding with schools, figuring out what we should bring with us, what should be sold and a thousand other things that needed to occur within that short window of time.
By the time we came to this picture below all of our belongings had either been packed up ready to ship or had been sold. We had moved out of our apartment and were now staying in temporary accommodation. The kids had finished school and had their goodbye parties. We had a couple of days left in Sydney where we could relax a little.
David and the kids beside Sydney Harbour. Check out that blue sky. We don't see that as often now.
Riding the ferry. Ethan very engaged in his surroundings.
Bright and very early in the morning before we flew to China. The girls playing together.
We were very fortunate that we were provided with flights in business class. This wasn't a particularly unique experience for David who flies a lot for work. But for the rest of us it was awesome! We acted very un-cool by taking a lot of pictures.
We had a brief stop in Hong Kong. Then onto Shanghai!
