Snow!

It snows in Shanghai about once every three years.  We were lucky enough to have a snow day during our first year!  It snowed very lightly for half of a morning.  Where we lived it melted as soon as it touched the ground.  I heard that it stuck in other areas.

Erica excited to see the snow.  The snow came and went throughout the morning.  Erica said that every time the snow started to fall again somebody in her class would point out the window and call out "it's snowing again!!".

Getting ready to walk to the school bus.  We seem to have acclimatised somewhat to the cold, as you can see from how the kids are dressed.  Today the max temperature was 16 degrees celsius.  We all walked outside and commented about how warm it felt.  We were walking around in t-shirts.  That would have been a freezing day in Sydney.
