Fubo Hill

There are multiple parks in Guilin that feature a hill you can climb for amazing views.  We picked just one of these, for fear of a revolt from our children if we tried to make them do too many uphill hikes during the course of a week.

Standing outside some gates (but not the gates), just in front of the hill.

Looking good!

Ethan trying to extract the sword from the stone.  Sadly he was not successful.

Some boys/men cooling off in the river.

Some views from the top of the hill.  David and the kids decided to sit out on the hill climb all together.  By that point we had walked from the hotel (the big tall building you can see off in the distance in the above picture) and wondered around some underground caves filled with Buddha carvings.  Mum and I went up the hill.  Good call for the kids not to do this.  It was quite a climb in the humidity.

The stairs

The view was worth all of the stairs.
