This was actually taken in Pudong Airport before we left. Mum just wanted to fill her drink bottle with cold water, but all of the water dispensers in the airport look like this. Yes - warm, warm, hot. No cold option. Chinese people generally don't like cold water. Unless we specify cold water in a restaurant, we will almost always receive hot water.
Clara trying to pick her breakfast. We ate at this place (Central Cafe - it was awesome) a lot.
Erica checking out the insects at the markets. She didn't try any.
Clara found a panda.
Walking along the street. This was early-ish (some time before 10am) in the morning because all of the market stalls to the right of us are closed.
The hotel we stayed in is called The Waterfall Hotel, because it literally has a waterfall on the side of the building. It is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest artificial waterfall in the world. The waterfall only runs for 15 minutes each day. The hotel itself was ok (not great), but a great location.
Wondering around the streets beside the river. Such big pretty trees.
Some growing out of the sides of the walls.
An old gate (I think it is old, you never know it could be a new construction).
You could often see the peaks of the hills in the distance as you walked along the streets. Such beautiful landscape.
And lovely water systems - rivers and lakes.
If only this worked.
