These pictures are taken at the hotel we stayed in. It is a converted courtyard house. It had been renovated and decorated beautifully. However, I wouldn't stay there again because the air conditioning in our room was pretty much ineffective.
Two cats having a nap together. Ethan pointed out that they look like yin and yang.
Two cats playing on a roof while we were eating breakfast. I think possibly the same two cats as above.
Some pictures from around Yangshuo. It sure is a charming place.
The girls found some more pandas at Panda House.
A local dish that we tried for lunch one day. It was really nice.
Some more fireworks and fake money being sold for Tomb Sweeping.
Some pictures from Impression Sanjie Liu. This show is performed outdoors at the 'world's largest natural theater'. The show takes place on the Li River with the surrounding peaks lit up as a backdrop. The show was created by Zhang Yi Mou, who is famous in China. He also directed and choreographed the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony. Clara was particularly impressed with a lady who danced on top of a crescent moon that moved across the water. This was the highlight of her entire day.
Moon Hill.
Ethan enjoying a healthy breakfast.
I took this picture in the hotel. I thought the soap dispenser was cute. Mum walked in while I was taking the shot and thought I was a little weird. However, there is a reason behind my weirdness. On taobao (a Chinese website) I can upload pictures of products and the site will search through all of the sellers to try to find you a match (there are A LOT of businesses on there - think like Amazon). If there isn't an exact match there will usually be options that are pretty close. It's awesome! Anyway, I found an exact match for that soap dispenser, and after parting with a little under $5 AUS it was delivered to my door from the other side of China and now sits in our guest bathroom.
