A Visit to the Gold Coast

Who wouldn't want to visit here!

The day after school ended we hopped on a plane and headed to the Gold Coast.  This enabled us to overlap with the Queensland school holidays, so that the kids could get lots of cousin time

Eating over-priced ice-creams while waiting in the airport.  We miss travelling with Dad who enjoys a different standard of travel with his frequent flyer status.

On the plane ready to go.  We flew overnight.  It wasn't a good night.  Lots of kicking from Clara.  She somehow managed to repeatedly kick the screen in the headrest in front of her - switching it on and filling our row with light.  Once she fell asleep soundly the rest of us didn't dare more a muscle.

Building and then destroying The Great Wall of the Gold Coast.

Clara enjoying being back at a beach.

Grass sledding on the hill behind Nan's house.

A walk at Burleigh headlands.

There were also multiple trips to the cinemas, shopping and lots of running around on the tennis court.

Erica re-emphasised that if she could live anywhere in the world she would most like to live inside Nan and Pa's house.  Ha!  She nominated Paris as her second choice.
