Erica is now in Grade 5 and Ethan is in Grade 9. This was taken on the first day of school. Erica had PE that day.

Meanwhile Clara had a short appointment at her school to meet her new teacher, before officially starting school later in the week. This is the outfit she picked. To put this in context, a lot of Chinese children are dressed beautifully for everyday outings. It is not at all uncommon to see children dressed in what would be considered a 'Church outfit' in our house. I regularly see children in Shanghai who are dressed in gorgeous dresses with beautiful hair accessories. Meeting the teacher is no different - plenty of girls in fancy dresses and boys wearing collared shirts and a bowtie. Some wore their uniform (the choice I would have gone for had Clara not had such a definite outfit idea). Clara certainly stood out in her Wonder Woman costume, but didn't seem to care at all.
