Erica in her happy place! Hong Kong Disneyland isn't as big as Shanghai Disneyland. It also isn't as new and shiny, with awesome modern rides like Tron. However, there were far fewer crowds, we were able to go on every ride that we desired, and there were some cool rides here that don't exist in the Shanghai Disneyland.
Riding the metro. Disneyland gets it's own special themed carrriage.
From the outside.
Unsuccessfully trying to lift Thor's hammer.
Clara in her favourite area - Toy Story Land!
Erica hugging R2D2. He was pretty cool. He moved around the room and interacted with us.
It was typhoon season in Hong Kong. We were lucky to not get too much rain. For about 45 minutes during the morning it rained heavily. We stood under a shelter for a while, but then decided this was a waste of time. David worked out that a show was located behind the carousel. So we made a dash over there. We all got drenched. This is why we look a bit wet in some of the pictures. A couple of weeks after we left there was a category 10 typhoon where everything shuts down.
Erica with Winnie the Pooh. She actually didn't really want to meet Winnie the Pooh. Erica lined up with Clara who did really want to see Winnie the Pooh. However, when they came to the front of the line Clara freaked out about the giant Pooh and backed away crying. Erica ended up posing on her own instead.
Ethan with Iron Man.
We stayed long enough to see the night parade. Ethan and Erica weren't too interested in the parade, so they spent their time riding Space Mountain on repeat. However, when I saw the Cars characters drive past I took some pictures for the five year old Ethan. The thirteen year old Ethan thought they were pretty cool too. Not cool enough to miss a 10th ride of Space Mountain though.
Clara's favourite float - Belle.
Mac. I love how they even have his eyes blink.
