Clara is magnetically drawn to these little car trolleys you find around the place in China. This one is in the Pudong Airport. Actually they can be bit of a life-saver. In this case we had a gate change and had to walk from one side of the terminal to the other. It was much easier to push Clara there, than make her walk.
For a couple of months we went for a walk or scooter ride every evening. Erica usually joined us. Clara likes to get out and explore. It is becoming Winter here now, so it is colder and darker. Our scooter trips have diminished somewhat.
On one of our trips around the neighbourhood Clara found some dogs inside a house. She decided to approach and speak to them.
After Ethan and Erica started school they became significantly more tired in the evenings. Clara has been no different. Sometimes she just curls up on my bed and has a big nap before dinner. Sometimes she doesn't have a nap, but has a tantrum instead.
United Nations Day at school. The kids dress in a costume to represent their home country and have a parade.
Here is a closer look at Clara's Aussie outfit. Thanks to Nan for sewing the skirt! Clara chose not to wear the beanie for the parade because it was a little hot.
Everyday is filled with lots of colouring and drawing for Clara. Our refrigerator has become very colourful. I love it.
Clara's first official after-school playdate with her friend Mila.
Our sweet ayi sent us this note and series of photos. Clara likes to help our ayi ('ayi' literally translates to 'aunty', but is also the term in China for somebody who helps in the home). Clara thought cleaning the bathrooms was so much fun. If you read the note above, our ayi has good English and she is also Christian (different Church to us).
Waiting outside of the science lab at Erica's school. Erica was in there finishing a lesson.
