More Boracay

And there will be more and more Boracay, because we had so much fun, and David made sure we did a whole lot of activities!  Here are some bits and pieces..

We stayed at a hotel in Station 3, but we also visited a number of other beaches.  This was Station 1 at a place called Willy's Rock.  There is a statue of Mary on a piece of rock that sticks up from the ocean.  It is easy to wade out to (or walk to at low tide).  We had a look around at that beach, built some sandcastles and then headed back to the hotel.  Because this beach connects to the beach that we stayed at, the kids and I decided to swim back.  We were pretty tired once we arrived - particularly me who spent a lot of the time pushing a floating Clara through the water :)  David opted to take a trishaw.

The girls had their hair braided.  They even had the deluxe version with colourful pieces of wool braided into their hair.  Clara lasted about 15 minutes before she kicked sand into her face while playing.  She ended up with tiny grains of sand throughout her hair.  We were able to get them out as best we could.  She was definitely not letting me undo the plaits to give her hair a proper rinse.

Erica's braids.  The girls aren't allowed to have 'fun' hairstyles or hair accessories at school, but they did both want to have super-wavy hair for school.  So on the first morning back I un-did all of the braids.  That took a long time.  The wool makes it more complicated.  We ended up getting Ethan to help towards the end.  Not doing that again - night before next time.

This is the view from the Treehouse Restaurant where we had lunch one day.

That is Clara sitting in the water.

Some more sunset pictures.  That is David and the kids waving their arms in the water.

Clara eating one of many soft-serve ice-creams.  There was a soft-serve machine at the hotel (you can see it to the left of Clara).

Clara having a swim.  She could spend all day in a swimming pool.

The girls dancing at the beach one evening :)
