Old Town Hoi An is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is beautiful to look at, with lots of gorgeous preserved old Vietnamese buildings, tree-lined streets and lanterns galore. Centuries ago this town was a trading port. Now, it is an incredibly popular place for tourists to visit. Hoi An is #1 on Tripadvisor for all of Vietnam. I don't know if I would necessarily agree with that ranking, but it was certainly a charming place.
